ENDE

Louis Andriessen’s ENDE is a contemporary work for recorder, with a direct and concentrated musical language. Its clear sense of rhythm focuses the music on even the smallest unstable changes.

In performance, I focused on rhythmic stability and clarity of sound, keeping the articulation precise so that the tension of the piece can emerge naturally.

Philidor’s Quatrième suite in A minor, Op. 1 is a French Baroque suite, centered on dance character and ornamented melodic writing. This version presents the distinct character and affect of each movement through the recorder.

Recorder Concerto in C …

Vivaldi’s Recorder Concerto in C major, RV 443 is an important work in the recorder repertoire. Its memorable melodic writing and clear changes of character have allowed the piece to remain widely loved, while its technical demands also require a strong level of control from the performer.
