The arrangement preserves the original song’s long, narrative melodic line while reworking the harmonic and accompaniment layers among the four parts.

In arranging the piece, I focused on the recorder’s transparency and singing quality, hoping to present the original song’s gradually building emotional tension and sense of hope within a more compact ensemble setting.

“Lady of the Pier” is a song from the game Devotion, arranged here for recorder quartet.

With its strong retro popular-song character and dramatic atmosphere, this version keeps the original melody and nostalgic tone while redistributing the harmony and rhythmic functions among the four recorder parts.

In the arrangement, I focused on the recorder’s plain, singing quality, hoping to use a relatively pure recorder ensemble texture to present the tenderness and slight melancholy of the original song.
